Norman Ornstein is a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research and an election analyst for CBS News. In addition, he writes a column called "Congress Inside Out" for Roll Call newspaper and works with Al Franken as a commentator and pollster for the Comedy Central TV network's coverage. Norman, who has a Ph.D. from the Univ. of Michigan, writes frequently for the New York Times and the Washington Post and is a contributor to MacNeil/Lehrer News Hour on PBS. His TV appearances include Nightline, The Today Show and Face the Nation. He is co-directing the Renewing Congress Project, a comprehensive examination of Congress geared to the changes made by the 103rd Congress.
