At age 36, Christopher Zane is already a 20-year veteran of the retail bicycle industry. As sales increased an average of 25 percent a year, Zane’s Cycles grew from a tiny 900 square foot shop to a sprawling 7,500 square foot store in just over a decade. How did he do it? By providing his customers with more service than they perceived as reasonable.
Zane has positioned himself at the forefront of the industry by continuously setting standards in customer loyalty and creative marketing. With only one location, Zane’s Cycles is one of the top 10 largest retail bicycle stores in North America. (CT)
