Marvin Zonis is a Professor at the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago, where he teaches International Political Economy, Leadership, and Business Strategy in the Era of eCommerce.
He also heads Marvin Zonis & Associates, Political Risk Consultants. The firm works with corporations and professional asset management firms in the U. S. and throughout the world to help them identify, assess, and manage their political risks.
Zonis has been at the forefront of thinking about eCommerce and its role in the globalization of business. He has lectured and written on eCommerce, the oil industry, Middle Eastern politics, Russia and U.S. foreign policy.
His books Incluce The Eastern European Opportunity; Majestic Failure: the Fall of the Shah, Khomeini And the Islamic Republic of Iran , and The Political Elite of Iran. Zonis has appeared on numerous network television news programs and is interviewed regularly on NPR.
Zonis argues that the three most decisive forces for business in the coming decade will be globalization, deregulation, and eCommerce.
