George Clooney grew up in a showbiz family and first started work at age five on his father's talk show The Nick Clooney Show. At age 21 he returned to acting only after his tryout for a Cincinnati Reds center-fielder slot didn't pan out. After moving to Los Angeles he worked on a series of TV pilots that didn't pan out until finally his role on Michael Chrichton's ER which became the most popular program on television. As film offers rained down on him, he chose From Dusk Till Dawn, a film by Quentin Tarantino. Films to follow include One Fine Day with Michelle Pfeiffer, The Peacemaker with Nicole Kidman, Batman & Robin, and Out of Sight. In 1999 he starred in Three Kings with Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube and Spike Jonze. He has a slate of projects in the works with his production company Maysville Productions. Clooney quoted 'You get the job when you walk in the door. Because in a weird way, we're not selling acting. What we're selling is confidence.'
